I have no idea how to spell the name of the place (it's phonetically pronounced "by-EE-yah") but I'd like to find out where it is. Does anyone know at least the general location of it? I'd never heard of it until this movie, which is on TV again right now, and I've always wondered about it and finally decided to ask the board. Thanks in advance for anyone who responds.

It's spelled Bahia. It's a state in northeastern Brazil. And there also a Club Med in Salvador da Bahia, so when she said she is going to Club Med in Bahia, she probably went to the one in Salvador.
