Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Airwolf

Why don't I see any of the episodes from when Airwolf was sold to USA Network listed here? I also don't see any of the cast from this later rendition of the show. I know the episodes were terrible from that period, but it is still part of the history, right? So, what gives?

Wow, Thanks. I guess I never thought that imdb would consider this an entirely different show! I always thought of it as a continuation of the same show. And with 2 main characters allegedly around for the 1st episode even though we never saw Dom's face when they blew him up (oops, spoiler alert!) and the absolute star of the show staying the same (the helicopter, of course) I assumed that it was always considered the same show. I learned something new today. . .thanks again, "Dom".

Most true AW fans do not even consider "Season 4" to be canon.

It was a Canadian production company cashing in on another US moneymaker. We usually make tv series out of movies, like FX: The Series or Robocop: The Series or Friday the 13th yes you guessed it The Series. The original AW was faltering in the ratings and someone came along and scooped up the rights minus the actors (I'm sure Borgnine's appearance was just him picking up a paycheck).

It wasn't even Mr. Borgnine. They just showed a chubby, white-haired guy with a red baseball cap from the back.

I thought that Season 4 was finally disregarded, which I'm all for. 🙂
