Was "If We Were In Love" sung by Dionne Warwick at the Oscars when this was nominated?

Dionne did sing twice at the Oscars during the 80's: In 1980 singing "It Goes Like It Goes" from Norma Rae. And in 1981 singing "People Alone" from The Competition". Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I remember those years when the Oscars would have a single vocalist (Dionne Warwick/e in the early '80s) singing all the nominated songs instead of having the original artists doing them. If someone else is going to cover the songs, it might as well be her because she is fantastic!

I would rather hear the original artist sing or in the case of Tender Mercies, the star who sang in the movie but not even put on the soundtrack. It is the most bizarre omission. Betty Buckley was certainly capable of having her version put on the soundtrack instead of Country singer Lane Brody who didn't sing in the movie. It is impossible to find the Buckley version unless you watch the movie.
