This movie needs a Blu Ray release with restored cut scenes!

I've just watched 'Next Of Kin' and was blown away by it in many respects. Whilst watching it I was thinking this could actually be the most underrated horror move ever made. It rivals Ti West's House Of The Devil and Argento's best work. The musical score is as good as Goblin do. The camerawork/cinematography was seriously impressive and the tension was almost unbearable.
However, I did feel at the end that a little something was missing, like just a few pieces of a jigsaw and a bit more of a climax needed. I then came on here and read the Director's summary of the scenes that were cut at his topic:
http://www.imdb.com/board/10084408/board/thread/60937692
Now those scenes would have been just enough! Just enough to finish watching the movie without feeling something was missing, without wondering what happened to Lance, without thinking they got rid of Rita way too easily! Whoever cut these scenes seemingly made terrible decisions.
Now this leaves a problem: even if this movie ever does get a DVD/Blu Ray release, I'll still not feel satisfied unless these scenes are restored. With these scenes restored it could actually be the most underrated horror movie ever made.
Is there anywhere I can get the full uncut version? There's people selling knock off supposedly uncut DVDs of it but I'm almost certain these scenes wouldn't be in.
This movie really deserves the full works: cut scenes back in, fully restored picture and sound, high definition release with bonus features. This needs to happen because it's already bugging me that this doesn't exist.
This may be naive of me to suggest but if Quentin Tarantino is such a big fan of the film, is there no way he can use his fame and influence to push for a restored uncut release?
Well anyway, I love Next of Kin but I feel like I've just found my ideal woman only she lives in the middle of nowhere and is missing an arm and a leg.
Somebody sort it out! Get this footage restored and get this film released. Please. In the meantime, everyone who's a fan of this movie tell everyone about it and try to raise its profile. It can be found to download at better quality than the version on youtube too by the way, although it has foreign subs. -

I completely agree 100%!!!! This movie blew me away too and I cannot believe more people don't know it exists! It's SO good! Im down with everything you said, and I had no idea about those missing scenes! I HAVE to see them! I thought Lance and Rita kinda got short ends of the stick at the end of the movie so it makes sense that they both actually played larger roles in the climax. I really hope someone puts this movie back together and gets a good high def release soon! How about an interview with Jacki Kerin? She pretty much makes this movie! What a great film! Such a crime its so underrated!

Absolutely agree. I emailed Synapse Films about releasing both this and the Spanish slasher, "Edge of the Axe" (1988), on Blu-ray. I got a response saying they're interested in both, and they asked if I knew who owns the rights. I told them the companies that released them on VHS, but that's all I know. Hopefully they'll be able to track them down!
