I'd love a remake starring Will Ferrell with (your choice) Owen Wilson/Jack Black/Steve Carrell/Paul Rudd/Seth Rogen/Vince Vaughn.
Im thinking an approach ala Team America, with the actors playing it over the top and "over-seriously". I think it could be amazingly funny.

Postal, when are yougoing to realize that if you are going to remake a serious movie, it should be treated seriously. Over the top humor and grossout jokes always spell boxx office failure.

You seriously read my mind. It occured to me immediately upon rewatching this after years. Screams Will Ferrell. Way more so than Land of the Lost. Was thinking Woody Harrelson as opposed to Owen Wilson. Not too sure about Steve Carrell or Jack Black, of course your post dates 2008 so

But i still think it would be a good idea!
I was also thinking Vince Vaughn as Duke Guerera, since he was great as Wes Mantooth, Ron Burgundy's nemesis in Anchorman.
