In September 2009, Trump changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). I would say the GOP is today what the Dems were in 2008.
We'll see what the GOP does with it.
The Dems squandered it, ruining healthcare in the process.
I hope the GOP is wiser and concentrates on energy, border and growing the economic pie instead of shrinking it and giving more welfare.
