          Geoffrey Rush would be great, as he always is. But I don't see any reason to remake this - or at least not to do another Arthur film modelled on Excalibur. This is a classic and the best tribute is to direct viewers to it rather than trying to produce a newer version.

            There is nothing wrong with remakes, this one is currently 35 years old. A remake doesn't change the original and most the time makes the originals look better. I've watched this one so many times I'd be happy with a remake to see an updated version of it.

              By the time a remake happens I think we'll be at a point where David Wenham would make a great Merlin.
