Love Terence Stamp as the ruthless General Zod. He plays the part with such delicious lip-smacking wicked relish.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

Love when the evil trio attack the White House. This sequence is a bit longer and actually even better in the Richard Donner cut.

That rocket blast off Non's back was just awesome. Should have stayed in the film.
The Zod scene I love most is when Clark sees him on TV and he rips the mic away from the President begging for Superman to hear him

                Agreed.
That was a cool special effect.

I like the end where the Pres. says, "Oh God."
                  "Zod."
                  LOL!

Stamp was a thing to behold in this and for something that could have easily tetered over into full blown parody, was kept on track by Stamp's exceptional skill and talent as a thespian.
He is so good, he makes it all look so easy.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Zod is still the best live action Superman villain to me. No one has matched what Stamp did with the character.
So many stories, so little time.
