This film is grossly under-appreciated and underrated by IMDB users. It should be rated a lot higher than 6.8! Scanners is brilliantly directed and has a really interesting story with cool special effects. It is smart, entertaining and mind blowingly good. I rated it a 9/10. I would go as far to say Scanners is one of the 300 best films I have ever seen.

One of my favorite Cronenberg movies. But I feel 6.8 is fine. It's really not the type of movie the average watcher can totally get behind and love.
