Just watched this again with my ten year old son. Haven't seen it since I was a ten year old boy. The scene where Aura, played by the gorgeous Ornella Muti, is being whipped by Klytus gave me a funny feeling when I was ten. I could'nt explain the feeling I had then. As we watched it now in 2007, when the scene came on my son had a wierd little grin on his face and I wondered if he had the same feeling that I had as a boy. Anybody else get a strange feeling during that particular scene?

G'day Corzair. She is incredibly beautiful. I don't blame Flash for thinking "Boy this girl's really turning me on!" when he's thinking to Dale. Ornella Muti is an amazingly sexy woman.

One of the main reasons why this film is amoung my all time favourites!!!!!
One of my earliest "happy" memories involves this film on video, the scenes when the Princess is wearing those tight red trousers and the pause button.
Think I was about 11 at the time. -

I just had this discussion with my housemate a few minutes ago, as he's watching the Sci-Fi series of Flash Gordon. Basically, I said that when I first saw the movie as a kid, I thought Dale Arden was pretty hot. A few years later, I watched it again, and realized Princess Aura is where it was really at. I mean, there's some scene where she's wearing this really skimpy, kinda furry-looking number, and I could SWEAR if I rewound and watched that scene enough times in slow-mo, I would be able to see genital details. But alas.
Also, yeah, the whipping scenepretty hot. And that goes for the tight red outfit as well. I mean, she's exotic-looking and overtly sexy. All in all, a yummy specimen.

I had LOTS of "funny feelings" as a kid watching this over Princess Aura (never felt much for Dale, on the other hand, funnily!). I actually think I wore out a few VHS copies with the pause button myself!
Now, as an adult, I still LOVE this film, and for other reasons too, but Aura is still amazingly hot and a big part of why along with her shiny red outfit -

The reason your son was smiling is because in a previous life his was akin to 'whipping' in terms of sexual joy, an emotional instinct shared with your own mind upon watching.
all the sexy moments in all films, we were all so young but still KNEW the connotation; like my friends mums friend who's baby girl was playing on the living room floor, in front of the whole family, pretending to masturbate with a tv remote, shoving it against herself, not even 1 year old - like she would have done as a adult female in a previous life.
