1 aircraft carrier. yes and no.
Yes in that the the disparity of forces between a modern nuclear carrier along with all it's modern air wing and weapons, would be unstoppable compared to anything current the enemy posessed in WW2.
No in that the sheer scale of the war is too great for that single carrier to be brought to bear against the entirity of enemy forces before it was to run out of fuel, weapons, spare parts, etc
A carrier, even a modern nuclear carrier, requires an almost continuous influx of support materials to remain operational and effective. Simply turning over the designs and specifications and technical knowledge to our side will not magically produce those materials as there is no infrastructure support in place capable of turning out the parts to the same quality limitations.
Within 3-4 months, likely far less, Nimitz's aircraft would have been useless without modern support.
I enemy forces.joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!
