I have just been re-watching the movieand i am noticing many subtle expressions and moments.the most notable one i could mention, when John is being questioned about how long he had prepared with Treves for the interviewyou can see John panicking slightly of course, but in the shadows on his left eye, you can see a small group of tears slowly start running down John Hurts eye.i havent noticed it before until today, happens many times also through the movie
The Good the Bad and the Ugly is the greatest movie ever made

im watching for the first time and none of those subtleties are getting by me. Im not one to cry, but I was tearing throughout the entire film. Truly a work of art which makes us reexamine the world around us. When Merrick was reciting Psalm 23 I nearly broke down from the beauty. What a powerful film!

I agree. When I re-watched it for the first time in a few years today, I noticed those subtleties in Anne Bancroft's performance as Mrs Kendall, too. Micro-expressions, if you like, that reveal the unease underneath.

David Lynch must truly be an artistic genius to be able to pull off what he did. This movie compels us in such a profound and complex way that most movies, if any, don't even begin to do. A Divine force was behind this movie.
