I thought Sondra Locke looked really good in this movie and in "Bronco Billy" (also 1980). Better than she did in "The Gauntlet" and in "Every Which Way But Loose." In fact, when I was 10 and saw this movie at the theater I had a mini-crush on her.

In her prime she was a real pretty woman. No mistaken that. And I always though she played her parts well. She was a good actress in my opinion.

She does look good in this movie. More feminine.

put it back in your pants, Carl. She's not all that, but she looks even "better" in Outlaw Josey Wales.

I don't know, isn't her hair grey here?

Anyway, I think that she looks her best in
                  The Gauntlet

Probably because she was a lot younger in Josey Wells.

The one downside to many of Clint's classic movies is having to suffer Sondra Locke as the female lead.
I could have forgiven her lack of acting ability if she was eye candy, but I never found her particularly attractive either.

She was looking fine and she could sing. Clint worked with Sondra a few times. They had good chemistry.

Sondra Locke could have used a few pounds. Clint could have done better. She was a lousy singer. And Clyde's acting was better than hers.

When my friends I (young teenagers at the time)saw this in the theater and Locke's character was kidnapped by the Mafia guys and threatened to force Philo to fight, we shouted keep her don't fight. While I appreciate some found her attractive in 1980, there were hotter and better actresses then for Eastwood and the viewing public.
