    i'm planning on buying this flick and i want to know what i'm getting into here. i ABHOR the day, 9/11. BUT i'm into art for art's sake. does the DVD release EDIT the WTC meteor?

        I don't know about the DVD but I just watched this movie on MGM-HD. I found it interesting that the helicopter shots of the WTC were taken before the antenna mast was installed on tower 1. The antenna was added in 1978 (

        ) yet the movie has a 1979 release date. I suppose they just used some old stock footage.

          You do realize, I hope, that when a movie is released in 2009 it is usually fimled at a point in time BEFORE 2009. For instance, in 2008 or 2007 or even 2006.

            There is nothing artistic about this movie. It's artistic the way that 'Mars Needs Women' is artistic.

                Interesting discussion but seriously would the movie coys then edit every film that has existed that shows the towers intact simply due to 9/11?
                To me that is censorship destroying the continuity of such great films?
                What would movie historians like Martin Scorsese think of that?
                Never forget the tragedy but for Christ sakes move on!
