Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Mad Max

The "sign language" that Jessie did to Max - do you suppose it was made up? I don't profess to know much about sign language but it just looked a bit of a complex way of saying "crazy about you." Isn't sign language supposed to be somewhat simplistic to a certain degree so that the communication is put across without extraneous movements?
    Just curious.
    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's made up, shifty? u.s sign language is not the same as australian signing.

I checked - it is almost identical and the sign for I and crazy and you aren't what Jesse is doing.

Crazy looks like a salute with one finger.

Snd I'm not from America. My sign language is even different from that.
