This era of the late 70s/early 80s was a very exciting time for movies, unlike this somehow boring present. Just in 1980 you had this thing, CH, The Shining, The Empire Strikes Back, The Elephant Man, and other groundbreaking films.
I guess it was because there was no political correctness whatsoever, so directors could film virtually whatever the #&% they wanted, without restrictions.
I really feel envy for the people who were 20 something in the early 80s; I vaguely remember this time 'cause i was only 5-6 years old.
Early 80s = a time of freedom that will probably never come back!!!
