So needless to say I don't want that to happen again this year so I'd like to get some dialog going about it now if we could please.

I hope the meeting went well!
I just wish that this TV station had been a bit more available in Canada. Then I could have seen more episodes of this show, plus the other shows on your list.Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen = -

That's very kind of you thank you but actually I had to cancel it due to lack of interest.

I couldn't agree with you more. Thankfully I have found many of these on video and DVD but it's b/c I've spent years looking for them, others are not that fortunate. And with the poor quality of television today these programs would actually be a breath of fresh air but sadly my generation is the smallest so there aren't as many voices as we need. The '90's generation far outweighs us and sadly Nickelodeon only caters to them while they look at the '80's as their "green vegetable" period. Yes their programs were quality and children actually learned from them however children do not (typically) eat vegetables therefore they reduce us to rubbish.
All that said, that is the reason I have my blog, so that I can help people remember ether favorite shows and maybe even show them to their kids. On Saturdays I post '80's videos under the "Classic Nick Rocks" banner. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday I post a Special Delivery, with many being the same films that aired in the '80's but I also add new classics such a Sha Na Na concert or a Grizzly Adam's film or even an episode of Fame! I also try to keep everyone informed on Classic Nickelodeon Sightings such as the live Double Dare event hosted by The Splat F/B page last month. or the new Legends of the Hidden Temple movie due out this fall.
If you haven't seen it the link is in my signature.

I was born in 1976, so I was a child and pre-teen of the eighties. However, I admit that I really disliked most of 1980s culture. Children's programming was one of the few exceptions.
I find it amazing that some of the dumb sitcoms from that time period have had such staying power, but these fun kid shows have been completely forgotten.
Frankly, if I had a choice between watching these kids get water or slime dumped over their heads, and watching an episode of
Full House
, I'll take the water and slime any day!Jim Hutton (1934-79) & Ellery Queen = -

I am right there with you, I HATE Full House!
