When he corrects Lois's spelling of Cripton. Obviously the name of the planet had not appeared in print up to that point. (I don't care if the planet was named after the element. Within the Superman universe the element and the planet are unrelated.) Unless they also used the alphabet (unlikely) how it is transliterated into English is open. It's like how there are variant transliterations of Arabic names.
Lois is not a good speller. Often she has her misspellings pointed out or humbly asks for help with a word. She is aware of her difficulty, maybe even ashamed of it. Don't fall for her confident front. She is vulnerable. Superman knows this. He saw her break down during the helicopter rescue. His real purpose in insisting that his planet is spelled "Krypton" was to humiliate her. It's a kind of gaslighting. Letting her fall during their flight is another step of his imprinting in her a dependency on him.
