Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Snowbeast

I bought a 50 movie pack at Borders during their going out of business sale and got it for about $12 or so aftr discount. Disc 9 is said to have Snowbeast and The Unknown Planet or some beep on side B. Snowbeast isn't there. Instead there is a movie called Battle of the Planets! I really wanted to see this movie as I like late 70's/ early 80's horror movies. I don't want to buy this movie by itself though, because it will probably cost more than it's worth. Does anybody think it's worth me shelling out the bucks for a copy of it?

Yeah I would say it's worth it. I'm sure you can get it fairly cheap. When you figure out how much a few beers in a pub, or a night out at the cinema, costs I think it's worth it in the long run.
It's a guilty pleasure movie that's actually worth repeat viewings now and then. I watch it every Halloween.

You can purchase it for a few bucks at Half.com.

I picked it up on a 4-movie disk called "Cinema Classics" along with 3 other 70-80s stinkers from
          www.dartdisk.com
          .
I'm with you. The type of film and the atmosphere of that era's movies is just plain wonderful, despite the cheesy plots and bad acting.
I did get my copy at Goodwill for $3; no idea what it'd cost you retail but I doubt very much, and the other 3 movies are well, fun to watch.
I grieved I had no shirt until I met a woman who had no pants.
