I got so tired of endless shots of people skiing, snowmobiling and talking. I wanted to see more of the monster! They didn't do a bad job with the costume, either. For a low budget tv movie it wasn't as cheesy looking as I would have thought.

As someone who took up skiing about the time this was made, it's great to see all the old ski brands/models, the clothes, hair, attitudes. Oh and the complete lack of snowboards 😃 It was also primetime bigfoot mania in the mid-late 70's. I think it would have taken away some of the spookiness to show the monster too much, especially since the costume was pretty lame. I loved it when the kid at the school gym looks up and sees beasty at the window. Quick shots like that and the 1st-person monstercam are pretty effective. A less-seen moster can be more effective and a more modern CGI beast would have none of the campiness of this one.

I thought the same thing. It looked like a fairly solid production for a TV movie, and had some good actors in it, but it just became kind of boring. When it was good, it was good, but it really could have benefited from less tracking shots and ski footage.
