We know for sure Mrs Tredoni killed the husband, Dom. WHY WOULD SHE SPECIFICALLY WANT TO KILL HIM OUT OF THE BLUE? That seemed completely random (but all too convenient in terms of plot). And how could she know about Angela and imitate her voice on the phone? She can't hide her accent.
Also, assuming she attacked the other two. So Karen was just a random killing? Could have been any child, if we are to believe her oblique explanations in the kitchen. And she sneaked in the house to stab Annie, it happens so just when Alice was going to the basement to get her mask? Come on! The stabbing of Annie had had to be done by Alice, it makes no bloody sense otherwise.
Equally important: WHY DOES MRS TREDOMI HAVE THE SAME COAT AND MASK AS ALICE?? WHY DOES SHE WANT TO KILL MR ALPHONSO THE LANDLORD?? She doesn't know him, he never gets out. It really makes no sense.
There are too many gaps in the plot, it doesn't flow naturally at all (like, say, Psycho, an obvious inspiration), they just wanted a surprise killer and hoped audience would be kind enough to believe in it. And apparently some do! The acting and pacing weren't great either. The stabbing scenes were well done but that's about it, everything else was between okay and so-so. Certainly not the gem some claim it to be.
Oh yeah, something else, the fact that the mother refuses to think that Alice may have killed her sister, even though she behaved strangely and was mean to her, I found it hard to believe, too. She doesn't even have the slightest doubt! I understand she was protective to her surviving child but that shouldn't hold if the other daughter died because of her, which didn't seem far-fetched seeing she arrives last at the communion scene where she wasn't invited, coming out from the room where the murder had just occurred!

What? The father was the only killing that made sense, and if you were paying attention you would've noticed her "talking" to someone as if she was getting orders from them (most likely Michael since she mentions him several times). More importantly, you would've noticed she killed Alphonso only AFTER he took her mask offthus coming to the conclusion that she was the killer. She killed him so he wouldn't blow the whistle on her and say, "hey, the killer isn't Alice, it's this little old Italian woman." Rationally, the father was killed because he was the only one actively looking for the killer, and knew it wasn't Alice. He also had the list of rain slickersMrs Tredoni is clearly shown overhearing his conversation with father Tom, asking for the list of people who owned the jackets.
I also wouldn't call the selection of the family random. Yes, she thought she was getting orders from someone, and that imaginary someone could've told her to target the Spages. However, at the beginning we see Father Tom favours and treats Karen special, he selects her to get one of Mrs Tredoni's cookies. Mrs Tredoni is shown rolling her eyes at this. She was probably spiteful. -

Also, I forgot to add..concerning AlphonsoMrs Tredoniwasn't in the appartment building to kill HIM. She was there to kill the mother, as was her plan all along. She is seen knocking on their door, and then comes DOWN the stairs running into Alphonso who was just woken up to being covered in cockroaches. Alphonso thinks the woman under the mask is Alice, and takes it off to expose herexposing the old womanthe killer instead. Annie also is stabbed for similar reasons. Tredoni comes to the house the first time with the intention of killing the mother then, and mistakes the aunt for her.
As for the jacketpretty much everyone had them. Why not hershe worked for the church/school, and the jacket represented the establishment. Didn't any of your teachers, or school staff ever wear clothing with the school's logo on it? After the killing Tredoni took on the role of Karen, and was dressing up like her, not Alice. Tredoni states that children take on the sins of the parents, thus Karen died for her parents sins. Then "came back" to kill them.
