Dear Folks,
Leonard Maltin sells this film short by giving it only an average rating in his book.
Mr.Maltin writes that it's noteworthy because it was the film that introduced Brooke Shields.
Talk about drastically underrating this Classic!

well with all the people on here saying how great this film is it makes me wonder why it's rating on here is only at 6.5??? what the fuc# this film is better than 90% of all the horror films that have ever been made. it deserves to be at, at the very least 8.0 stars on imdb.

Dear Matheusmarchetti,
I don't think Mr.Maltin is one of "the worst critics ever"(checkout Michael Medved!!!).
But this writer feels that Leonard Maltin(or whoever reviewed this film on his staff)needs to take a second look at this Classic film.

Michael Medved is the worst critic alive. I did not have any love for Joel Siegel either when he was among the living. Maltin tends to undertate films that have some merit while overrating those that are awful. Maybe if it had subtitles he would of liked it better.
I do not listen to critics anymore. I did more so when I was young, but now
I only read the bad reviews for fun and not the goods ones. -

Dear Folks,
The Director/Writer says a few unfair things about Linda Miller's performance
in this film.
He does so in the DVD commentary as he and the film's editor discuss this movie.
I think Linda Miller does a Great Job in this Classic Film.

I'm wondering what you heard Alfred Sole say about Linda Miller's performance. I listened to the commentary, too, and the whole time, there was nothing but praise for everybody involved. William Lustig makes a few nasty comments, and at one point he suggests that one of the actresses is looking fat, but that was not the director who said that. If I missed something, maybe you can let me know what Alfred Sole said.

Someone else on the DVD said something to the effect that her crying was overdone during the funeral scene for "Karen." I haven't seen it for a long time now. But Alfred Sole did say that Linda was hurt during filming. Does anyone know what happened? He did not say what or how it happened.
