Not really. He just much preferred Corinne.
      So did I.
Wait a minute who am I here?

She was high maintenance and a Daddy's Girl, Benson had contempt for Chester too. Corinne had a slightly nave but warm hearted quality compared to Eunice.

They softened Benson over the course of the show. In the first episode he states that Billy is the only one in the Tate family he cared about. Then slowly things changed. I think the turning point was the episode when the German detective was bullying the family about Peter's murder, and Benson finally had enough and told him off.
Slowly they established that he had a close friendship with both Jessica and Corrine. He never liked Eunice, but even that wasn't as bad as in the first few episodes when he wouldn't even talk to her. He hated Chester; that never changed. I don't think he hated the Major, but was more amused by his behavior.
He also hated the Campbells in the early episodes, but that softened as well. By the middle of Season 1 when Jodie was in the hospital for his sex-change, Benson was actually visiting him, bringing him a home-cooked meal.

                Good answer!
                hmmm

                • But when all settles down - Eunice has to be the least annoying Tate of them all - (Not including the Campbells).
You can only take enough of Jessica, Corrine, the Major, Chester or Billy - but Eunice comes and goes - and you just do not tire of her.
Benson is supposed to be funny there - but his hatred, laziness, nastiness and spiteful streak just do not play well in comedy - at all - especially when he bullies likeable chareacters - like Eunice, Danny, Chuck and Bob - well, maybe Bob.
Sure it's all trash TV - and Benson, the Campbells and the Tates put a lot of extra trash into the show - big time trash - but wouldn't you much rather do lunch with Eunice than with Benson or those other Tates?
And when Mary and Eunice show up on "Murder She Wrote" - they really prove beyond the shadow of any doubt what great actresses they can be - versatile, loving, exciting - you really gotta love em there, too!
