Was this re-run in the UK circa 1980?

'The Fantastic Journey' was first shown in the U.K. in 1977 in a peak-time Tuesday night slot on B.B.C.-1, then repeated a year later in a morning slot during the Christmas holidays. Nothing then until 1994 when it was shown on the 'Bravo' satellite channel on Sunday afternoons. Oh, and the pilot got a couple of showings by itself on 'The Sci-Fi Channel' around 1996/97. Possibly the 1978 screenings are those you remember.

That is very good work.I had forgotten that I had watched it on the Christmas Holidays. Are you sure it wasn't repeated again in the Summer Holidays around 78 The Bravo screening in 1994 was wonderful especially as they showed Funhouse an episode that was apparently not shown by the BBC ?

Brilliant, thanks. I've spent decades wondering what this show was and when I watched it. I only had a few frames stuck in my head (being 6 years old at the time). Watched the episode 'Atlantium' on YouTube and everything fell into place.
So ends a 30 odd year quest

Same for me!
I was 5 at the time - and remember being fascinated by the show.
The only thing I knew for sure about it was that it had Roddy McDowell in it.
Thanks to IMDB the simultaneous best and worst site on the web, I too can now rest easy. -

Christmas holidays was where I caught up with it.
Did it end on a Thursday, for some reason? I seem to recall waiting for it to come on the next morning and - since they had shown all the episodes - it wasn't on.
I still remember the disappointment over that!!! Sitting there that morning.
