Also recall that he was also doing all those Hanna-Barbera cartoons (even if the studio was past its prime and Allan's trademark Magilla Gorilla no longer had his own show and had to work for peanuts rather than bananas by doing Yogi's Ark and Scooby's Laff-a-Lympics by the 1970s. You can blame Mr.Peebles aka Howie Morris for kicking him out of Peebles Pet shop.)

Allan Melvin as Sam "The Butcher" Franklin appeared in only eight episodes of "The Brady Bunch", but they span all of the show's five seasons. He is also frequently mentioned in dialogue and Alice occasionally goes on dates with him off-screen.
