Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Sybil

    fiatlux-1 — 12 years ago(May 27, 2013 01:17 PM)

Sybil mentions that she & her mother go to a store called 'Brandeis' in their hometown.
Was this a real store? I tried Google but couldn't find anything except a bookstore. Was this a bookstore?
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
    "Didn't he discover America?"
    "Penfold, shush."

That might make sense that Brandeis was a bookstoreI recall that there is mention of Sybil buying a copy of "The Silver Cord" on that visit.

Brandies was a department store in Omaha, NE. It started out in the 1880s as a multi story store downtown, then moved out to the 'burbs as malls became popular. It was bought by Yonkers in the 1980s.
