I was always a huge fan of Nancy Walker but I thought it was a waste of her talent to cast her as a deaf mute. I mean, how can you cast an actress who had one of the sharpest and funniest deliveries of all time and NOT give her any lines? Of course she made the most of what she was given because she also had a very expressive face.
Always wondered why they chose her for the part.

I kind of thought the same thing. She was always so acerbic on McMillan and Wife as the maid. Seemed a waste to have her not speak.
My memory foam pillow says it can't remember my face. I can tell its lying.
