I've always wondered about the music that plays on the W.E. television commercial that Newton watches at Bryce's home while Bryce fixes him a drink. In the commercial, we see Newton taking photographs of a family, while some very seventies futuristic synthesizer melody plays in the background. I suspect it's some production library tune. If anyone knows what it is, please respond. Thanks.

Hey there startlepoint,
Just was watching the Criterion DVD tonight and noting the wide variety of music used in the film, I knew I had this one.
You are correct, it is production library music-

Thank you so much, TL! Now, I know what to look for.
I had a feeling it might have been a KPM title, and I know about much of their material: songs like "Happy Go Lively" and "Curley Shirley."
You might be familiar with the CD collection called
Music for T.V. Dinners
that came out in the late nineties.
Thank you again.
Best wishes! -

Glad I could help! You have a good ear.
Yes, that is a good compilation, but as you know nothing beats the old albums and finding all those library gems you grew up hearing in backgrounds and had no idea where they came from.
