Not only was the computer unable to process new information (when Logan told it that "sanctuary" didn't exist), it then proceeded to blow itself up, starting a chain reaction which destroyed the entire city. Not exactly a user-friendly design!

Same thing in many films and TV programmes at the time, e.g. Star Trek,

Likewise, all machines run on 500,000V, so if you shoot them, they explode in a welter of high-tension sparks and smoke.
