Who was vying for the role at the time?
That might help, but Wonder Woman was defined by Lynda Carter. Some storylines are dated (and others are still top notch), but she definitively nails the role consistently, regardless of story. She was well cast -

Thankfully, Lynda won the role. Actress Joanna Cassidy was also a contender for the role, but Lynda completely embodied Wonder Woman once she tried on the costume and they knew she was Wonder Woman. Thank God!

It's fun to speculate who could have been Wonder Woman instead of Lynda Carter but let's face it, she was born to play Wonder Woman. The casting was perfect. Everything about her was Wonder Woman. She even looked as if she had just stepped
out of the comic book. Lynda Carter will always be the definitive Wonder Woman. -

Definitely Jayne Kennedy-Overton. She was the beautiful black woman who appeared in Season's 2 episode "Knockout." Jayne would of been just as good as Lynda. She was so beautiful and would of been perfect for the role.
