Which one is more iconic or the better show. For me. As a kid growing up. I lean towards The Jeffersons. AITF to me just seemed bland as a kid. The Jeffersons hold up more.

I think they were roughly equal at their peak, but All in the Family was better for longer. The Jefferson's last few seasons are pretty cringeworthy at times. I think what killed both shows is when George and Archie stopped being racists. While it was nice to see them grow as characters, it took the edge off the shows and turned them both into just another silly sitcom.

The Jeffersons & it's not even close! I never even thought AITF was that funny. There were some funny moments but it was mostly just Archie yelling at Mike, Edith, or black people & other minorities!

Two classic sitcoms are being revived for one night on May 22, as ABC presents live re-creations of episodes of Norman Lear's All in the Family and The Jeffersons.
Woody Harrelson will play Archie Bunker, Marisa Tomei will play Edith Bunker, Jamie Foxx will play George Jefferson, Wanda Sykes will play Louise Jefferson, and Will Ferrell will play Willis.
