      A "chinwag", a chat, a discussion (usually friendly). Your chin "wags" while you're talking, you see. Not quite like a tail wagging, or a fingermore up and down than side to side.

        A 'chin wag' is rhyming slang for nag. Nag meaning having a talk, it has nothing to do with your chin 'wagging' while talking.

          A chin wag is not cockney rhyming slang at all, and it doesn't mean nag. It means to chat or have a conversation.
