Who would you cast in the roles? For Ellery Queen I would get Greg Kinnear.

I wish that Jim Hutton had lived long enough so that he and his son Timothy could have done an Ellery Queen series together.
That being said, if they wait a few more years, then maybe Timothy Hutton could play Richard.
Isn't Greg Kinnear a bit too old for the role of Ellery? He would have made a good Elleryabout 20 years ago.

For Ellery: I'm not being facetiouswhat's Shawn Ashmore doing these days? He's about the right age (35-ish). I could also see Joseph Gordon-Leavitt or Ben Foster in the role.
Richard: Maybe Dennis Quaid or Scott Bakula?

Tim did play a version of Ellery as a homage to his dad in the LEVERAGE episode, "THE 10 LI'L GRIFTERS JOB "..

I saw that episode of Leverage. Great episode, and it was so nice of Tim to remember his dad this way.
Some of the other costumes were great as well, like the Irene Adler costume and the Encyclopedia Brown (and sidekick) costume. Lovely tribute to the classic detectives/characters.
