I do. It's because of overly sensitive, PC addled dolts such as yourself and TazMoose, that are offended by everything under the sun. There is a board feature, it's called Ignore User, and all that you had to do was to utilize it. Instead, you whined incessantly to the Admin's and ruined it for everyone.
Do yourselves, and the rest of us a favor, and start up your own forum. It will probably only be the two of you exchanging sanitized posts that Pollyanna and Company would wholly approve of and endorse. And like a black hole, it will probably suck all the fun out of anything that comes near it! -

Well said by both of you. The whiny idiots on this thread are a perfect example of why the Boards are being shut down. IMDb shut theirs down because people wouldn't discuss the posts they'd get in a hissy fit and report the posts as hate speech. IMDb thought that their forums were nothing but hate speech because there wasn't anyone actually READING the reported posts, it was all done by computer.
There is nothing offensive in the OP. The fact is that Charles Ingalls (TV character) was a ridiculous character and the source of a lot of humor. FFS, he was supposed to be a poor 19th Century farmer, yet had perfectly blow dried hair. Oh and BTW to the scolds, his ribs were always broken and it never stops being funny.

in no way did anyone strip down to their pants to work in the fields? in no way did anyone feather their hair back then. in no way did the real charles ingalls break his ribs a good once a year!

IMDb is actually a good [ish] site with the ignore feature. it would be good if the person you were ignoring was banned from responding to your posts and this is the reason why they have to close the boards due to bullying. but it is better than nothing. the Miss Manners Message Boards had no feature and the bullying was ten times worse. they actually followed people they were bullying from thread to thread and invited their minions to join in. thank god they were closed down.

It's so comforting to see some of the forum-ruiners who have all had posts worthy of being deleted all together and defending themselves. For the record, for me personally I've never WHINED to an Admin once and only clicked the report button once and that was several months ago. And it wasn't on your stupid "I just wanna screw Laura" post Albert_Ingalls/Truthisgood that would be gone anyway in 10 days. Somebody else (or probably multiple others) did that. Not that your post didn't deserve to be reported mind you.
Any "bullying" certainly hasn't come from the people who just wanted to have decent discussions without lots of vulgar crap. The people who ruined imdb are those like you. And this opinion is shared by many outside the imdb bubble. Want just one an example?

While you'll see a few people defending imdb, the consensus is as one poster put it that it is: "full of members bashing either the movie, the stars, the creators or fellow-members that don't share the same opinion" (that pretty much describes several posting on this thread). Other representative comments that I thought were worthwhile: "Nothing but a cesspool of hate and ignorance" and "I come here for friendly discussion, and sharing of information, not to get in petty arguments and hurl rude insults at other members. IMDB became too big to moderate effectively, and the trolls took it over ages ago." And my personal favorite: "There are millions of hateful, racist, ugly, mean-spirited posts over there with more added every second. How do you moderate that? You would need an army of moderators. Nuke the site from orbitit's the only way to be sure."
Oh, and just in case any of you trolls get a notion to post on THAT site, don't bother: they ARE heavily moderated and will ban your ass quicker than you can say "Charles was a douchebag!" -

And again, the question that begs to be asked, is what kept you from taking advantage of the Ignore User feature? I'll go ahead and answer that for you, since there is only one answer:

. And the reason, at least in this case, is that you and the others chose to be offended. You insist on sanitizing the site, and imposing your standards on others, when you really should have just stuck to heavily censored forums all along, where people will only post in a manner in which you approve.
The forum in the link below looks to be right up your alley. I think it's ran by some dude by the name of Adolph, or Josef, or something like that, lol. But in all seriousness, censorship aside, it actually looks like it's a pretty good site, so you should check it out. I won't post there, because I value free speech, but it's perfect for the lily white moralist crowd.
Oh, and btw, even though you won't believe me, I'm not Albert Ingall's, nor have I ever created or posted in any of the threads that you have complained about here, but that's hardly the point.- A whole new set of mods. We already have more than enough on our plate.
- Super strict rules and moderation. Basically, we only allow instructive
and constructive discussions. No gossips, no games, no commenting on
people's physical appearance/relationships/sexual orientation/acting
ability and no personal opinions (that's what reviews are for). Plus,
things like a minimum & maximum characters limit and a well-thought
spoiler policy.

You are correct - I don't believe you regarding you not also being Albert_Ingalls, but whether you are or not, you clearly ARE just a troll. The fact that your user account when checked yesterday only had 4 posts made (3 of which were yesterday on this forum) and the first one was on a completely unrelated forum's thread where oddly enough Albert_Ingalls also was one of the few posters shows that this account of yours is clearly a "troll account". Only trolls use multiple accounts to try to make themselves and their trollish opinions stand out. So your first post using this account is on an unrelated forum where Albert_Ingalls posted and then right after Albert's post got removed here, your next 3 posts to complain all about censorship and people wanting a decent forum is on the Little House forum?? Oh no, there's no link between you and Albert_Ingalls at all (rolls eyes)
As for THIS message you just posted, I actually kind of appreciate it because it shows the real issue in clear terms: You pretty much are stating that you want a forum where you can post as crude and as vile and as hurtful and as bullying as you want without having anyone tell you that you can't do that.
In your view, you should be able to say whatever you want and everyone else should just have to click Ignore if they don't like all that you spew. Your fellow trolls agree with you (of course).
The rest of us that are actually decent human beings, recognize that the many shouldn't have to suffer (or even just be inconvenienced) because of the crap spewed by the trolls who are only trying to ruin things for everyone.
