She was by far my favourite character on the show. Katherine MacGregor nailed her character and her portrayal was perfect, she's an amazing actress. She made that show!

Me too. She absolutely nailed every scene they gave her, whether she was playing straight-out villainess, or comic relief, or - in a few select cases - vulnerable and human. I've seen most of the episodes multiple times, and I find myself fast-forwarding to only her scenes, just to watch her again.

I totally agree! She was the best! Her character had such depth and stayed true through the entire series. She nailed every scene and added a much needed level of comedy to the show. She is very under rated.

Many people bad mouth Harriet. But I agree, she was by far the most honest.
A lot of times she was just saying what others thought and were afraid to say, especially about the Ingalls.
And Harriet was also very driven. She had more ambition than Ma and Pa combined.
Caroline just selling those eggs wasn't cutting it, with the slacker husband she chose. But to be fair, she did later work very hard at the restaurant. Definitely harder than her hubby.

Market was shown at times to be very caring underneath the ruff edges

                Harriet was smart.
                Like Nels said about her
                "Very sharp with figures"
"She can figure out a three figure sum in her head" and that he has seen her do it

She was definitely one of the most memorable. Katherine McGregor did a very good job of portraying her.
