Man, I can only imagine the cheers in the audience back in '73 when Buford shot whore house madame Callie Hacker! I know I did! lol!
Conversely, I was almost in tears when Pauline died. That whole scene with her lying there & Buford crying. Oh man. I guess it's twice as sad knowing what became of Elizabeth Hartman & (for me), her amazing role in "A Patch of Blue".
Had heard about this movie WAY back when I was a kid in the 70s, finally watched for the 1st time today. Def' going on my favorites list.

Problem is that some of Callie Hacker's clients are going to be mighty dissapointed in her loss.

I loved it when Buford blasted Callie. And Pauline's shocking abrupt death was indeed quite sad and tragic.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
