I read the book in junior high before I ever saw this movie or Sunshine Christmas. I can't remember the author. Does anyone know who the author is? Thanks.

The author's name is Norma Klein and she based the book on the real life journals of Jacquelyn M. Helton.

No, the book is definitely by Norma Klein. My Mom has a copy of the paperback. Also check abebooks.com to find it used.

I have a copy right here in front of me. On the back of the book, it says, "Sunshine is based on the television movie, Sunshine, written by Carol Sobieski and suggested by the journals of Jacquelyn M. Helton." So the book was written by Norma Klein AFTER the screenplay was written by Carol Sobieski.

Yes but the question was who wrote the BOOK . Norma Klein wrote the book, based on the screenplay written by Carol S., from the tapes written by Jaqueline Helton
Great movie, book .. the whole thing is absolutly a treasure!
