How did the two policemen get from Aniellos house in Red Bank, New Jersey to the N.Y.C. subway so fast ?

Believe it or not, there were trains between Red Bank and NYC before New Jersey Transit.

There still is train service from Red Bank to Manhattan? Was there a station right by Aniellos house ? How did they get to the train station ? I can just imagine them waiting in a train station with the two mafia guys in hot persuit.
They both got on a train with a dog ? Where did Joe change into his police uniform ?
Tommy left the Subway and got into a parked car with the dog waiting in it, where was Joe ?
Please explain to me what they left out between leaving the house and apperaing in the New York City subway station.

Today's New Jersey Transit has the North Jersey Coast Line, which was inherited from the Central Railroad of New Jersey. You can take that from Red Bank either directly to Penn Station in New York City and take the subway or catch the PATH Train at Newark Penn Station and hook up to the New York City Subways from there.

          You're on your own there.
They both got on a train with a dog?
I'm sure only one of them had to.
Where did Joe change into his police uniform?
I didn't see Joe change into a police uniform during that whole trip.
Please explain to me what they left out between leaving the house and apperaing in the New York City subway station.
Hey, anything could've happened between Red Bank and Manhattan.

Yes that's right anything could have happened between Red Bank and Manhattan. They left so much out it leaves a lot to your imagination. To see the two mafia guys in hot persuit of Tommy leaving the subway station after a trip from Red Bank to Manhattan doesn't make sense. Even if they got on the same train why didn't they just nab them on the train ?
Seems like mission impossible to me. That's probably why they left that gap.
