                  Brian,
Yes! I love this show! I don't recall the Bank Holiday episode but my favourites are "George's House" (where Frank gets his head stuck down a toilet) and "The Job Interview" ("Case, case, card, card."). Absolutely brilliant. I am in awe of Michael Crawford's talents. And I don't know how he didn't kill himself performing those stunts!
It's hard to connect skinny Frank Spencer with the big and booming singer Michael Crawford of today, isn't it? I've noticed that, in interviews, Michael Crawford never mentions "Some Mothers." I wonder if he's trying to distance himself from the show for some reason?

I too am a fan of this programme, it is sometimes shown on a satellite channel in the UK but this is very seldom! Despite it's slapstick-humoured approach, it was never quite the huge success it should have been. Frank Spencer was a walking, talking, scenery-destroying character who meant well in all he did, but this was short-lived. Had the writers generated more inspiration to develop the series further then this could well have had the same level of public popularity as shows like Only Fools and Horses.
My favourite scenes in this programme were:
1: The driving lesson. Seeing Frank terrify the pants off the poor driving instructor was very well done, and i crack up at it every time i see it! Frank being unintentionally nippy and turning the instructors own rules against him were superb!
2: The roller skating disaster. After being thrown off a roller skate conga, frank dices with disaster by descending a set of spiral stairs, almost crashing into 2 cars AND a lorry, and wrecking a baby shop's display.. all on flimsy roller skates!! At times like this, you have to fully appreciate Michael Crawford for his willingness to do ALL his own stunts, which if some of todays actors were offered the role many would cower away from! This is my all-time favourite scene from the show, and Frank's dialogue throughout is very typical! e.g. "Betty, I've been articulated!" [on passing under the lorry]
and "But I 'avent got any change!" to the surprised bus ticket conductor.
I think if it was shown more often on a popular channel then people would admire this comedy for its sheer hilarity, which we need more of with the tripe that is being produced nowadays!

I love it, recorded all the episodes and love saying words from the comedy like "Billious".
Fav episode was the Public Relations episode involving many great scenes including the cantine scene sketch with the meal dispenser and the beans.

The look on Frank's face is priceless. The public relations episode is great stuff.
