This show is being rerun on Australian TV. I haven't seen it in many years; I always liked it and appreciated Michael Crawford's physical comedy. But rewatching it now, I find Michele Dotrice to be absolutely brilliant as his "straight man". I can't imagine the show working without her.

Was my fortune to see her in a theatre production of The Ladykillers a year or maybe two ago.She was the outstanding member of a great production. Think we forget actors can be very busy working in theatre.
She was terrific as poor Betty. I'm watching a repeat of Some Mothers right now. still laugh crazy like at it. My twelve year old son finds it stupid and not funny at all. Crazy.
