It was Didi Carr. Johnny Olson announced at the beginning that she was the star of the new television series "Sugar Time". It lasted all of 13 episodes.

I seriously think that the OP was referring to Didi Carr who did a few episodes in 1978. Didi Conn is adorable, but in a cute, cuddly way, I don't know if most people would describe her as gorgeous. She kind of had a younger, hipper, Joyce Bulifant thing going on.
