What is the movie about? Is it about Jane Fonda or is it about Klute? After all the movie is named Klute but all we see is him talking to her and taping her.
Geez it moves as slow as molasses. I think we have lost the ability to really concentrate on a film because of tvo and dvrs.
I tape almost everything I watch and ff thru all commercials. If it is boring I ff thru that too.
If I rent a movie I can ff thru anything that slows the plot down.
Klute doesn't seem to stand up to 2015 audiences. OMG I just realized how long ago 1971 is. I was 20 years old when this came out and I feel like I can comment on it.
It is not as if I am 20 now and trying to watch this. -

I saw this POS when I was 13 doubled featured with Dirty Harry. I remember it spoiled what could have been a pretty good day. By the time my friend and I got free, Sunday afternoon was gone and we had to rush home to do our homework. No one to complain to back then. Trying to watch it again today and it's still a drag.

Great comment!! Made me smile and have a laugh . . . Essentially we have the reality of "Different strokes for different folks". The ability to FastForward one of the wonders technology has brought us .
In stark contrast to film, thankfully, you can't really
read a book that way . . .
You either enjoy the author's
work, the story or the non-
fiction content, or you
don't. If you don't, you put
down the book. That is,
unless you're reading entries
in the dictionary.
I don't love every film nor
do I enjoy every writer I
pick and choose. But,how can you objectively understand a film/documentary, a book, an
opera/symphony, any worthy
creative endeavor unless
you allow it to breathe in
the space its creator
intended.
I just read last week that
they're planning to attempt
to 'shorten' operas because
younger audiences, in
particular, can't seem to sit
still for a 3 - 4 hour performance of an opera. In the film "Amadeus", Mozart is
told, in front of his Patron,
the Emperor, that his music
is good but it contains "too
many notes". I mean, don't waste my time!
What a thought! It's never
been easy to be an artist and, in film, it's clearly getting worse!! Keep that remote control in hand
you never know when you're going to need to 'FF' . . . -

Also 40 mins in and so bored I might actually drop dead. It makes me want to vomit that jane fonda got an oscar for her performance in this movie-and i like jane fonda. She's like a 16 year old drama student "acting" like how she imagines a prostitute would act. Really sexually confronting and weird. If prostitutes were like that, no one would go to them. Can i keep watching?
