Two disc edition DVD is going to be released on August 2007 by Warner Bros.
It includes the original version and Special Edition. That is sure and official. Unofficial is yet the rumour about lot's of extra songs, but we'll see about that.

Thanks for telling me! I almost JUST RECENTLY shelled out some $$$ for the original uncut DVD release. The new two disc release will have both versions so I'm glad I waited. Amazon has listed this as well as many other Elvis movies that will be released or re-released on August 7, 2007 (the month of August 2007 will be the 30th Anniversary of the King's alleged "death" in 1977):
