This is being released on Region 1 DVD in April from Shout! Factory and Timeless Media.
It is part of a four movie set that is currently up for pre-order for only 6.95 at amazon! Pretty awesome.

Spoke to Shout on Twitter - they couldn't give me any further details on this release other than "It's a straight release, no bonus features or changes."
Which means, it'll likely be the same version as Shout's previous double-bill on the Elvira Movie Macabre disc from 2007 - non-anamorphic with the 'fade-to-blacks' where the Elvira segments were edited in

Worse than thatit's not happening now at all. They did not have a suitable available source to put on DVD. Very unfortunate, hopefully MGM / Sony decide to invest in this film, and finally restore & release it here in the US.
