I've never been able to figure it out? Cancer?
It looks a bit sweaty in there so you may need to apply baby powder

I believe it was polio, hence the limp. His overall health was pretty bad as well.

I'm guessing that his limping was due to polio, and on top of that he had some severe respiratory infection (possibly tuberculosis).
