One of them said , " It's too bright to be Baltar".
He said Beletrix, not Baltar.
That's odd they wouldn't recognize the constellations - they wouldn't change.
They also said there was cloud cover at night so they would be able to see stars or constellations.

The Moon became an ape and died. Apes cannot live in the void of space. They require oxygen and some atmospheric pressure.
