Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The Immortal Story

    bwflorida — 14 years ago(August 09, 2011 01:51 PM)

On the TCM website (http://www.tcmdb.com/title/title.jsp?stid=79039), the Brief Synopsis of Immortal Story states: "A sailor bets he can seduce a wealthy man's wife, not knowing the man has hired a woman to play the role."
That doesn't describe the movie I saw!

      Wow, that synopsis is:
      A. Lazy
      B. Appealing to the lowest common denominator.
      C. Both A&B
      Nice job TCM.

The synopsis says "powered by AFI" so AFI is to blame. Interestingly enough, there is a full synopsis, which is accurate and identical to what is found on AFI's own site. But the brief synopsis, which as you pointed out is completely wrong, is nowhere to be found on AFI's site.

Answer: "Part time kid working for $4.00 and hour hired to fill in website descriptions. Great opportunity!"
and clicking on the wrong link.
