dvd release needed for this great film

with julie christie still great in films earning an oscar nomination for away from her why no release of a dvd with all the extras of one of her greatest films,,,

in Britain . There has been a DVD out here for a few years now but it was an abysmal copy with at least one large scene missing .
No evidence of any extras on the new one but here's hoping it does the film justice .

Sorry to break it to you. This Region 2 DVD release from Optimum Home Entertainment is the SAME one that was released in March 2007 as part of the Julie Christie Collection - Screen Icons box set. All the DVD's in this box set have been released separately concluding with this one. It's a muddy transfer from a poor print and the picture is cropped and not in widescreen. A proper quality widescreen release is overdue. Avoid this one
