Some voters must have thought this picture was little more than mediocre? This is among the greatest movies ever made, it deserves a 9 or 10 from every voter. The script, actors, cinematography, direction, everything is top notch from top to bottom. It's not simply a matter of different people having differing tastes. It's about a dumbed down populace not recognizing greatness when they see it. Probably dumbed down by watching way too much TV.
What is wrong with you people? -

I love this movie too! People do not have patience any longer so to sit for three hours is more than some people can do. It is an excellent movie because they did not "sugar coat" it in the lease!

It is a terrific story. I'm married to a Chinese and have spent a lot of time there over last 20 years. Chinese are not that direct but in a mob can be. McQueen is superlative . One of my all time favs.
