      Big coincidence that it came out the same year as 'Flight Of The Phoenix' - similar but different.

          I'm a Welshman myself, had a bad feeling about the match which is why I watched the film instead! I actually video-taped the film also, so if you would really like a copy let me know.
          Incidentally, the local rugby club at Ferndale in the Rhondda Valley, South Wales, now have a Sir Stanley Baker suite in memory of their local boy turned movie star.
          Is it just me, or does anyone else much prefer Stanley Baker as an actor rather than the, admittedly talented, but possibly overrated Richard Burton?

            Was it the widescreen or fullscreen version? For any region 1 fans, I've seen it available at www.dvdbluedot.com or www.bpm123.net. Anybody deal with these collectors?

              Was on Five a few weeks back full screen not wide one.
              Only just seen the first time film was OK I gave Sands of the Kalahari a 5 out of 10.
